Street dance has definitely gathered momentum in London in recent times especially after the launch of the movie “Step Up”. There are two other parts of the movie as well, released after periodic intervals and that has immensely helped revive street dancing amongst the youth. If you are one of the newcomers and want to learn the basic moves of street dancing, you’ve come to the right place!
Here, we are going to introduce you with the basic four steps of street dancing that will help increase your body’s flexibility.
Step your right knee ahead of you and bring your left-inner elbow forward so that it rests beside your knee. In other words, you have to get in a posture where you pretend to pick up something bulky from the floor. It is a sort of a position that is taken by the sprinters just before their dash. Raise your left heel and keep your right hand just over it.
Rest your weight on the left leg and try to shift your body in that direction as well by lifting your right leg slightly. Keep your right hand bent and left hand parallel to the right leg.
Put the weight on the left leg, keeping it slightly bent. Extend your right arm and keep it parallel to your right leg that is slightly pushed towards the right of your body. Keep your left arm twisted.
Cross your legs and meet the end of the toes together. Raise your right arm while keeping your left arm parallel to the body.
